Getting to the Museum

 

 

The Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts has a varying schedule of art instructional classes throughout the year. 

Instructors are drawn from the ranks of community based artists.

Art Classes

The Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts offers art classes in many different media

"Take the image from your mind and bring it into REALITY"

Art classes for adults and teens

Develop your skills in a creative environment during our classes in drawing and painting, from foundations to advanced techniques.  Whatever the artistic medium you chose to express yourself, the basic skills are the same!

                 

Classes are open to both adults and teens interested in art.  High school "portfolio" classes may also be arranged.  Learn and have fun in a nurturing environment.

 

 Our classes are held Thursday through Saturday.

Two sessions per day, $225 tuition for 6 weeks of classes

10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

1:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Museum members receive a 10% discount on art classes.

Your membership in SMOFA qualifies as a charitable deduction.

The Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts offers lectures and a guided tour of the Museum facilities and exhibits to community groups of 10 or more persons.

We are happy to provide pizza and beverages to your group

 for a nominal charge of $5 per person.

 

We can arrange these tours from 12 Noon through 2 PM

 most Tuesdays through Saturdays.

 

All community groups are invited to participate in this educational and social program.

School classes, senior organizations and condominium-home owners associations are especially welcome!

To arrange for a tour, please call the Museum at least two weeks in advance of your requested date and time. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.  Museum facilities are wheelchair accessible.
