The Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts has a varying schedule of art instructional classes throughout the year. Instructors are drawn from the ranks of community based artists.
February 2010 The Rem-Brent Academy of Art will hold classes at SMOFA "Take the image from your mind and bring it into reality" Hone your skills in a creative environment during our classes on foundations to advanced techniques in drawing and painting. Whatever the artistic medium you chose to express yourself,the skills are the same!
Classes are for adults and teens interested in pursuing a career in art. High School "portfolio" classes will also be arranged. Hone your artistic skills in a creative environment. Classes begin in February, Thursday to Saturday 10 AM thru 4 PM - Two sessions each day To participate in these classes, please contact our curator, Olga Avallone at 954-583-5511 Tues through Saturday from 10 AM - 5 PM Museum members receive a 10% discount on art classes. ============================================= The Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts offers lectures and a guided tour of the Museum facilities and exhibits to community groups of 10 or more persons. We are happy to provide pizza and beverages to your group for a nominal charge of $5 per person.
We can arrange these tours from 12 Noon through 2 PM most Tuesdays through Saturdays.
All community groups are invited to participate in this educational and social program. School classes, senior organizations and condominium-home owners associations are especially welcome!
To arrange for a tour, please call the Museum at least two weeks in advance of your requested date and time. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Museum facilities are wheelchair accessible.
